Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
- Efficiently handle guest registrations, room assignments, and key issuance.
- Process payments, manage guest accounts, and handle cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and courteously, providing accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, taking messages as needed.
- Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area.
- Handle guest check-outs, including billing and farewells.
- Assist with reservation management, modifications, and cancellations.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, restaurant) to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Manage and resolve guest complaints or issues with professionalism and discretion.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) and willingness to learn hotel management software.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional guest service.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a front desk associate in a hotel setting.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
- Knowledge of local attractions and amenities in Ibadan.
- Ability to speak additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba) is a plus.
