Paradise Oceanfront Resort is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Hotel Front Desk Clerk to be the welcoming face of our establishment. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our cherished guests, setting the tone for their entire stay with your professionalism, warmth, and efficiency. You will manage reservations, process payments, provide detailed information about our resort amenities and local attractions in Ginger Hill and Savanna-la-Mar, and deftly handle any guest requests or concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the property management system (PMS).
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and address guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Process payments, maintain accurate guest accounts, and handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Provide comprehensive information about the resort's facilities, services, and local attractions in the Ginger Hill, Savanna-la-Mar area.
  • Act as a central point of contact for guest requests, concerns, and feedback, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments (housekeeping, concierge, F&B) to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
  • Handle mail, messages, and wake-up calls for guests.
  • Perform night audit duties as needed, ensuring accurate daily reports and reconciliations.
  • Uphold resort standards for guest service, security, and privacy at all times.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and email platforms.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially with financial transactions.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6+ months) in a hotel front desk or similar customer service role.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or a similar platform.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and points of interest in Ginger Hill, Savanna-la-Mar, and wider Westmoreland.
  • Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, French, German) is a plus.
  • Certification in Hospitality or Customer Service.
