As a Hotel Front Desk Receptionist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the reception area. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
  • Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately and efficiently using the hotel's property management system.
  • Process guest payments, handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Provide comprehensive information to guests regarding hotel facilities, services, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate complex issues to management promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk area.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, direct calls appropriately, and take messages.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as mail distribution, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, concierge, F&B) to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Conduct wake-up calls and assist guests with special requests as needed.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Experience handling conflict resolution and challenging guest situations gracefully.
