Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, adhering to established service standards.
  • Efficiently manage guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy of information and processing payments.
  • Handle all incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take accurate messages.
  • Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations, utilizing the hotel's property management system.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, ensuring a welcoming first impression.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, F&B, security) to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in using hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, Mews).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a guest-focused approach.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OND/HND/B.Sc. in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., French, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa).
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
