Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Guest Service Assistant to join a vibrant hospitality team in Fadeyi, Lagos. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-ins and check-outs.
  • Manage guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Address guest inquiries and provide detailed information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Proactively resolve guest concerns, complaints, and requests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Assist guests with luggage and transportation arrangements when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
  • Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, security, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Process wake-up calls and special requests, adhering to guest preferences.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven customer service or hospitality experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) and willingness to learn hotel management software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a hotel front desk or guest service role.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera or Fidelio.
  • Ability to communicate in an additional local language (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa).
  • Certification in hospitality or customer service.
