We are actively seeking a dedicated and meticulous Hotel Housekeeping Attendant to join a prestigious hotel’s team in Nyanya, Abuja. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily cleaning and tidying of assigned guest rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces according to hotel brand standards.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, and clean all surfaces including mirrors and windows.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and replenishing amenities (toiletries, towels).
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues, damages, or missing items and report them promptly to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Replenish guest room supplies such as coffee, tea, water bottles, and stationery.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained, used safely, and stored securely after each shift.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating complex issues to the appropriate department.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with guests, colleagues, and management at all times.
  • Assist with inventory control of cleaning supplies and guest room amenities, reporting needs to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals, methods, and equipment usage.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1+ years) as a housekeeping attendant or cleaner in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with hotel operating procedures and guest service standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in basic English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
