Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms according to established standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish amenities in guest rooms.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including tubs, showers, toilets, and floors.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust all furniture and surfaces.
- Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms, are kept neat and presentable.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
- Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently, such as providing extra towels or toiletries.
- Monitor and manage laundry and linen supplies, reporting inventory needs.
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures and policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel staff, including front desk and maintenance teams.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Attendant or similar role, preferably in a hotel setting (minimum 6 months).
- Knowledge of various cleaning chemicals and proper use.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic communication skills (reading, writing, speaking English).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with hospitality management software (e.g., for room status updates).
- Training in hospitality or cleaning services.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a hotel environment.
- Ability to speak an additional local language (e.g., Igbo).
