This pivotal full-time role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic appeal across all guest rooms and public areas within a dynamic hotel environment. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily operations, leading a dedicated team of housekeeping attendants, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience through meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry personnel.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness, and presentation are met.
  • Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing team members.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost control.
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules and routines to maximize productivity and guest satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to by the housekeeping team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for staff and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with front office, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
  • Prepare daily and weekly operational reports for management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities with a focus on motivation and development.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and scheduling.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software.
  • Knowledge of sustainable cleaning practices and environmental initiatives.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
