Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial candidate assessments for hotel positions.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a welcoming start for all new hotel staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring compliance with all privacy regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and managing HR-related documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner, often serving as the first point of contact for hotel staff.
  • Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information, managing leave requests, and assisting with other payroll-related tasks.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating HR events, training programs, and employee engagement activities tailored for the hospitality environment.
  • Help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies relevant to the hotel industry.
  • Support the performance management process by assisting with documentation and scheduling.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture within our client hotels.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and handle sensitive information discreetly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an HR administrative or assistant role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) or payroll software.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
  • Relevant HR certification (e.g., a professional certificate in HR).
