Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties across all assigned areas, including guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other public spaces.
- Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and polishing surfaces to a high standard.
- Emptying waste bins, disposing of trash, and ensuring waste management protocols are followed.
- Replenishing amenities and supplies in guest rooms and public restrooms.
- Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and other bathroom fixtures.
- Operating cleaning equipment such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to supervisors.
- Adhering strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Assisting with laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
- Maintaining a neat and organized janitorial cart and storage areas.
- Responding promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
- Collaborating effectively with other hotel staff members to ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or cleaning services, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting (up to 20kg), and walking for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic communication skills to understand instructions and interact courteously with guests and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a 3-star or higher rated hotel.
- Knowledge of specialized cleaning techniques for different surfaces.
- Ability to speak basic English in addition to local languages.
