Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring all workstations, utensils, and equipment are spotless.
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery, ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and quantity, and ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste in a hygienic and timely manner.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Support chefs during service periods by retrieving ingredients and assisting with plating.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Assist in basic cooking tasks as instructed by the head chef or senior cooks.
