Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, and storage units.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
  • Receive, unpack, and correctly store deliveries of food and supplies, ensuring proper rotation.
  • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, reporting shortages or damaged goods.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Support the culinary team during peak service hours, assisting with plating and service where needed.
  • Properly dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
