Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing sauces.
  • Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
  • Receive and properly store food deliveries, rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting shortages to the Head Chef.
  • Support the cooking team during peak service hours, ensuring timely and efficient dish preparation.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP) at all times.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a tidy and organized workstation.
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
