Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and storage areas are clean and tidy at all times.
- Receive and store deliveries, checking items against invoices and rotating stock effectively.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Support the culinary team during service periods, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
