Key Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and storage areas are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Receive and store deliveries, checking items against invoices and rotating stock effectively.
  • Dispose of waste responsibly and in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Support the culinary team during service periods, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
