Key Responsibilities
- Sort all incoming laundry items by type, color, and fabric to ensure proper washing procedures.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently.
- Monitor laundry cycles, ensuring correct water temperature, detergent levels, and cycle times.
- Inspect linen for stains, damages, or wear and tear, and apply appropriate stain removal techniques or report damaged items.
- Fold, stack, and neatly organize clean linen, towels, and uniforms for distribution to various hotel departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility, including machines, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel hygiene, health, and safety regulations and standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts of linen and laundry supplies as required.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linen.
