As a Laundry Attendant, you will be an integral part of the hotel’s operations, responsible for managing all laundry services efficiently and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and irons, according to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
  • Sort and separate laundry items (linens, towels, uniforms, etc.) by type, color, and degree of soiling.
  • Inspect all laundry items for stains, damage, and wear before and after washing; report damaged items to management.
  • Pre-treat stubborn stains as necessary to ensure optimal cleaning results.
  • Load and unload laundry into machines, ensuring correct water temperatures, detergents, and other additives are used.
  • Fold, iron, press, and neatly stack clean linens, towels, and uniforms in designated storage areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, including equipment and work surfaces.
  • Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and report needs to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
  • Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail for sorting, stain detection, and folding.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift, push, and pull heavy laundry bags and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to follow instructions and manage inventory.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Reliability and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6+ months) working in a laundry or housekeeping department, preferably within a hotel setting.
  • Knowledge of various fabric types and appropriate cleaning methods.
  • Familiarity with industrial laundry chemicals and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
