Key Responsibilities
- Collect soiled linens from designated areas within the hotel, ensuring proper segregation.
- Sort laundry items by type, color, and fabric to prepare for washing, following established procedures.
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload laundry machines, adhering to capacity limits and operating instructions.
- Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage, reporting any issues.
- Fold, press, and neatly stack clean linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Organize and deliver clean linen to various departments, including guest rooms, food and beverage, and spa areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including equipment and surrounding workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report needs to supervisors.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assist with other hotel operational tasks as needed and directed by management.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs) for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
