Key Responsibilities

  • Collect soiled linens from designated areas within the hotel, ensuring proper segregation.
  • Sort laundry items by type, color, and fabric to prepare for washing, following established procedures.
  • Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload laundry machines, adhering to capacity limits and operating instructions.
  • Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage, reporting any issues.
  • Fold, press, and neatly stack clean linens, towels, and uniforms.
  • Organize and deliver clean linen to various departments, including guest rooms, food and beverage, and spa areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, including equipment and surrounding workspaces.
  • Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report needs to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
  • Assist with other hotel operational tasks as needed and directed by management.

Required Skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs) for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel laundry or commercial laundry setting.
