Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest personal laundry items according to established procedures and schedules.
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and irons, ensuring their proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, or wear before and after laundering, reporting any issues to management.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels and safe storage.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including proper handling of soiled items and chemical safety.
- Organize and deliver clean linen to various departments (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Assist with other general hotel operational tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations, preferably within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy laundry bags.
- Basic understanding of different fabric types and appropriate washing techniques.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in hospitality or laundry operations.
