Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize soiled linens, towels, and guest garments according to fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
- Operate and monitor commercial washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently.
- Inspect all items for stains and damage, applying appropriate pre-treatment solutions when necessary.
- Fold, press, and organize clean laundry items, ensuring they meet hotel standards for presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area, including equipment and surrounding workspace.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and report replenishment needs.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
- Assist with other hotel operational tasks as required, particularly during peak periods.
