Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on hotel equipment, machinery, and systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, troubleshooting and repairing issues efficiently.
- Conduct daily inspections of hotel premises to identify and address potential maintenance concerns before they escalate.
- Repair and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, including painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and hotel standards.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems as required.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to guest experience during maintenance work.
- Provide emergency repair services outside of regular working hours when necessary (on-call rotation).
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in a skilled trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing).
