Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Manager to lead our dynamic team, focusing specifically on guest service excellence and efficient operational management. The successful candidate will be based within our administrative offices in Sodnac, Quatre Bornes, providing strategic oversight and support to our various hotel properties across the island, with frequent on-site visits and direct involvement where needed. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can inspire staff, uphold our brand standards, and continuously enhance the guest experience. You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless hotel operations, from front-of-house to back-of-house, driving consistent service quality and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring adherence to Beachcomber's high standards of quality and service.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, proactively addressing feedback and resolving issues.
- Manage and lead a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment, promoting professional development, and ensuring high performance.
- Monitor operational budgets, control expenses, and identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and services to ensure optimal functionality and presentation.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline processes, improve inter-departmental communication, and achieve operational goals.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on operational performance, guest satisfaction, and financial outcomes for senior management.
- Represent the hotel and company in a professional manner, engaging with guests, stakeholders, and the local community.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a luxury hospitality setting.
- Proven track record of success in enhancing guest service and operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel management software and reservation systems.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
