Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments (front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance).
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue goals, optimize occupancy rates, and manage operational costs efficiently.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations, as well as brand standards and operational procedures.
- Manage guest relations, promptly addressing feedback and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and local events to adapt business strategies and promotional efforts effectively.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring strong fiscal performance and profitability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving financial targets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
- In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry best practices, standards, and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a hotel environment within Mozambique or a similar emerging market.
