Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to brand standards across departments (Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales).
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue goals, optimize profitability, and manage operational costs effectively.
- Cultivate an exceptional guest experience, promptly addressing feedback and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of hotel professionals, fostering a positive, engaging, and performance-driven work environment.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of all hotel staff, promoting continuous professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as brand policies and procedures, focusing on health, safety, and security.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and inventory control to maintain operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Actively participate in marketing and sales efforts to attract and retain clientele, enhancing the hotel's market presence.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to stakeholders, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Implement sustainable practices and initiatives to minimize environmental impact and enhance community relations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years as a Hotel Manager or Assistant General Manager in a full-service or luxury property.
- Demonstrated expertise in operational management, including F&B, rooms division, and property maintenance.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and cost control.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop a high-performing workforce.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, capable of interacting effectively with guests, staff, and ownership.
- A guest-centric approach with a relentless commitment to delivering superior service experiences.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and standard office applications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- High degree of cultural sensitivity and adaptability, especially relevant for international applicants.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluency in additional languages, particularly Spanish, due to the diverse clientele in Miami.
- Experience managing properties with significant F&B operations and convention/event spaces.
- International work experience in diverse markets.
- Knowledge of local Miami market trends and competitive landscape.
