Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve operational efficiency, revenue targets, and guest satisfaction goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as brand standards.
- Cultivate strong guest relationships, addressing feedback promptly to ensure an exceptional experience.
- Implement and maintain robust safety and security procedures for guests and staff.
- Oversee property maintenance and renovations, ensuring the hotel remains in pristine condition.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).
- Provide leadership during emergencies and critical incidents, ensuring calm and effective resolution.
- Actively participate in community engagement and local tourism initiatives.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing luxury or upscale hotel operations.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS, POS).
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing a hotel in an island or resort destination.
- Familiarity with Hawaiian culture and local tourism market.
- Multilingual abilities, particularly in Asian or European languages.
- Experience with international relocation and sponsorship processes.
- Certification in hospitality management (e.g., CHA, CHSP).
