Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily audit of all guest folios and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Reconcile and balance all departmental revenue and expenses at the close of the business day, preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously, assisting with luggage or special requests as needed.
  • Handle all incoming calls and guest inquiries, providing accurate information and resolving issues promptly and discreetly.
  • Prepare daily reports for management, including occupancy, revenue, and guest activity summaries for the morning briefing.
  • Maintain the security of the premises and privacy of guests during night hours through regular patrols and monitoring.
  • Set up wake-up calls and special requests for guests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Assist with light cleaning and organization of the front desk area, lobby, and common spaces to maintain presentation standards.
  • Respond to emergencies or guest needs, such as medical issues or security concerns, discreetly and effectively, contacting appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Monitor security cameras and conduct routine property walks to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and property.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and email correspondence.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial tasks and data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polite and professional phone manner.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure, especially during unexpected situations.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, as the hotel operates 24/7.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field (e.g., retail, call center, food service).
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) such as Opera, OnQ, or Fosse is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles or experience with cash handling and balancing.
