Job Description

Career.zycto is urgently seeking a dedicated and reliable Hotel Night Auditor for a full-time, overnight position within a reputable hotel located in the vibrant heart of Downtown Saginaw. This critical role is the backbone of our client’s evening operations, ensuring a seamless transition between shifts, accurate financial reporting, and the highest standards of guest satisfaction throughout the quiet hours.

As the Night Auditor, you will be the primary point of contact for guests during the late evening and early morning, providing a welcoming and secure environment. Beyond front desk duties, this position is responsible for performing comprehensive audits of all guest accounts, verifying daily transactions, and reconciling discrepancies. You’ll be instrumental in preparing daily reports for management, processing check-ins and check-outs, handling guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, and maintaining the overall security and smooth operation of the hotel premises. This role requires a blend of customer service excellence, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily audit of all guest accounts, charges, and credits, ensuring accuracy and balance.
  • Reconcile daily cash, credit card, and direct billing transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute daily management reports, including occupancy, revenue, and daily activities.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously during night hours.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Handle all incoming calls and reservations, directing them appropriately.
  • Monitor security cameras and conduct routine property walks to ensure guest safety and property integrity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
  • Assist with light administrative tasks as needed.
  • Act as a manager-on-duty in emergencies, following established protocols.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong mathematical and auditing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), e.g., Opera, Fosse, OnQ.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic for night shifts.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Previous experience specifically as a Night Auditor.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
