Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Hotel Pool Attendant to join our dynamic team in Mokola, Ibadan. As a Hotel Pool Attendant, you will be the cornerstone of our guests’ aquatic enjoyment, responsible for the daily upkeep, safety, and operational excellence of our swimming pool area. Your keen eye for detail will ensure all facilities are sparkling clean, well-maintained, and comply with the highest safety standards. More than just maintenance, you will be a friendly face, ready to assist guests, answer questions, and provide a welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the swimming pool, deck, and surrounding areas daily.
  • Monitor pool chemistry levels (chlorine, pH) and maintain them within safe and recommended parameters.
  • Inspect pool equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance or information regarding pool facilities.
  • Administer basic first aid in case of minor injuries and contact emergency services for serious incidents.
  • Maintain inventory of pool towels, amenities, and ensure their availability.
  • Regularly clean and organize pool furniture, umbrellas, and other equipment.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down for special events held at the pool area.
  • Complete daily logs and reports related to pool conditions, usage, and incidents.

Required Skills

  • Strong swimming proficiency and confidence in water.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of pool safety and maintenance procedures.
  • Customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a pool attendant or lifeguard.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Knowledge of water treatment and chemical handling.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry.
