Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage and personal belongings.
- Efficiently and safely transport guest luggage to and from rooms, ensuring accurate delivery and collection.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist guests with general inquiries, directions, and requests, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Support the front desk and concierge teams with various tasks, including delivering messages or packages.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
- Operate and maintain hotel trolleys and other equipment safely and responsibly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the relevant department.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and guest service standards.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy luggage safely.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hotel environment as a porter or similar front-of-house role.
- Knowledge of the Old Trafford and wider Manchester area.
- First Aid certification is a plus.
- Ability to speak additional languages.
