Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage and personal belongings.
  • Efficiently and safely transport guest luggage to and from rooms, ensuring accurate delivery and collection.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist guests with general inquiries, directions, and requests, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Support the front desk and concierge teams with various tasks, including delivering messages or packages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
  • Operate and maintain hotel trolleys and other equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the relevant department.
  • Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, safety procedures, and guest service standards.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy luggage safely.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hotel environment as a porter or similar front-of-house role.
  • Knowledge of the Old Trafford and wider Manchester area.
  • First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Ability to speak additional languages.
