Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the front desk team, ensuring high standards of guest service are consistently met.
- Oversee efficient guest check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly, courteously, and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and motivate reception staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor daily operations, including occupancy levels, room status, and reservation accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Manage cash handling, foreign currency exchange, and maintain accurate financial records for front desk operations.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, F&B, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Prepare and manage reception shift schedules and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Implement and promote upselling strategies for rooms and hotel services.
- Conduct regular inspections of the reception area, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as a Hotel Reception Supervisor or Senior Receptionist in a reputable hotel.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
- Strong leadership, team management, and motivational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, Amadeus).
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Edo).
