As a Hotel Receptionist Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire stay. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon their arrival and departure.
  • Efficiently handle guest check-ins and check-outs, including registration, key issuance, and final billing.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls professionally, managing inquiries and providing accurate information.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding hotel facilities, services, and local attractions in Abeokuta.
  • Process various forms of payment accurately and securely, managing cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
  • Maintain a tidy, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area at all times.
  • Proactively identify and resolve guest complaints and issues with empathy and efficiency, escalating when necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, F&B) to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Assist with reservation inquiries, modifications, and cancellations, ensuring all details are correctly logged.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages for guests and staff.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as required to support front office operations.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with people.
  • A genuine customer service orientation and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a hotel front desk, customer service, or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software (PMS) systems.
  • Knowledge of Kuto, Abeokuta, and surrounding areas, including local attractions and services.
  • Secondary School Certificate, OND, HND, or BSc in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
