Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
  • Manage all incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using our property management system.
  • Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions/amenities.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process payments, manage daily cash flow, and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure smooth operations and guest requests are met.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised front desk area.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using property management systems (PMS) or similar booking software.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • A positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Hotel Receptionist or in a similar front office role.
  • Knowledge of local attractions and points of interest in Horbury, Wakefield.
