Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS).
  • Manage cash and credit card transactions, maintain a balanced cash drawer, and prepare daily reports.
  • Answer incoming calls, direct them to appropriate departments, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized reception area.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments (housekeeping, F&B, security) to ensure seamless guest experience.
  • Provide administrative support, including sorting mail, sending faxes, and managing office supplies.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
  • Assist with luggage handling when necessary and arrange transportation for guests.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Hotel Receptionist or in a similar customer service role (minimum 1 year).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) and experience with Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and a friendly demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the local or tourist demographic.
  • Familiarity with local attractions and amenities in Lagos, particularly Abijo and its environs.
  • Experience with Opera PMS or similar industry-standard software.
