Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and energetic Hotel Restaurant Server to join a reputable hospitality team located in the vibrant Idumagbo area of Lagos Island. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests upon their arrival, presenting menus and daily specials.
- Expertly guide guests through menu options, offering recommendations and answering questions about food preparation and ingredients.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, relaying them promptly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and gracefully, ensuring all items are presented according to restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, promptly addressing any concerns or requests.
- Process guest payments accurately, handling cash and card transactions with integrity.
- Clear tables, reset dining areas, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
- Proactively anticipate guest needs and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Server or Waiter/Waitress, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or certification in Hospitality Management or related field.
