Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and toiletries daily.
  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust all furniture and fixtures.
  • Restock room amenities, minibars, and guest supplies according to established guidelines.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport soiled linens and trash to designated areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly to supervision.
  • Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Handle guest requests efficiently and courteously, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a positive, friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  • Monitor and control supplies and amenities, ensuring proper usage and minimizing waste.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, push, and pull frequently.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of proven experience as a Room Attendant or Housekeeper, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Edo, Yoruba, Igbo) is a plus.
