Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Change bed linens and towels, make beds, and replenish amenities according to hotel standards.
  • Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, and clean all surfaces including mirrors, windows, and fixtures.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly to the supervisor or maintenance department.
  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with guests, addressing any requests or concerns efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring proper use and storage.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist with laundry duties and restocking linen closets as required.
  • Handle guest items with care and respect, reporting any lost and found articles.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel staff, including front desk, maintenance, and F&B teams.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to clean and maintain rooms to high standards
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Basic communication skills (English)
  • Reliability and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a hotel room attendant or in a similar housekeeping role
  • Knowledge of various cleaning products and techniques
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a hotel environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing guest needs and priorities
