Job Description
This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort that Protea Hotel by Marriott Zanzibar Mbweni is renowned for. As a Hotel Room Supervisor with flexible schedules, you will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring our housekeeping team, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas consistently meet and exceed our stringent quality benchmarks. You will be responsible for the daily supervision of housekeeping operations, including inspecting rooms, managing linen and supply inventories, and coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of room attendants and other housekeeping staff.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained.
- Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure timely room preparation and resolution of guest issues.
- Develop and implement flexible work schedules to meet operational demands and staff availability.
- Handle guest complaints and requests regarding room cleanliness or facilities promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor and control departmental expenses without compromising service quality.
