As a Hotel Sales Executive, you will be the face of the hotel, responsible for driving room nights, banquet sales, and other related services. You’ll work proactively to understand market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to craft compelling sales strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize hotel occupancy and revenue across all segments (corporate, MICE, leisure).
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, site visits, and participation in industry events.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and foster loyalty.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients, highlighting the hotel's unique selling points.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with the reservations, front office, and events teams to ensure seamless service delivery for all booked clients.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
- Represent the hotel professionally at various functions, trade shows, and networking events.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Handle client inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Existing network of corporate clients and event planners in Onitsha and Anambra State.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Fluency in Igbo and English.
