Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, car parks, and perimeter, to deter and detect security breaches.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, responding promptly and effectively to any alerts or suspicious activities.
  • Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security threats, coordinating with relevant authorities and internal teams.
  • Investigate incidents such as theft, vandalism, and disturbances, completing detailed reports and gathering evidence.
  • Enforce hotel policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for guests and staff.
  • Assist guests with security-related concerns, providing information and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Provide first aid or emergency assistance as required, or coordinate with emergency services.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct bag and parcel checks as per hotel policy and entry requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to operate CCTV and security monitoring equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, emergency protocols, and first aid.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to perform regular patrols and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., ASIS, CSO, or similar local certifications).
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
