Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon their arrival, escorting them to their tables.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, relaying them to the kitchen or bar staff promptly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and elegantly, ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests, and promptly address any concerns.
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and maintain a clean and organized dining area, including resetting tables.
- Handle guest payments accurately, process transactions, and provide correct change or receipts.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including food safety regulations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for events or special functions when required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
