Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival, escorting them to their tables.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations for food and beverages.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, utilizing a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, efficiently, and professionally to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Regularly check on guests to ensure their satisfaction, promptly addressing any concerns or requests.
- Clear tables, prepare for new guests, and maintain the impeccable cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently, processing transactions with care.
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and correct order delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with the setup and service of special events, banquets, or private functions as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 6 months) as a Waiter/Waitress or Server, preferably within a hotel or high-volume dining establishment.
- Exceptional customer service and strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure restaurant environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to lift trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of various food and beverage types, including wine pairings and cocktail preparation.
- Proficiency in operating common restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (e.g., Micros, Aloha).
- Valid certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service (e.g., Smart Serve, ProServe) is highly advantageous.
- Additional language proficiency is considered a valuable asset.
