Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general house cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing.
  • Manage all laundry needs: washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothes and linens.
  • Assist with basic meal preparation, grocery shopping, and kitchen maintenance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas of the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and common spaces.
  • Oversee inventory of household supplies and notify the family of replenishment needs.
  • Provide light support with childcare (e.g., helping with school drop-offs/pick-ups, supervising playtime) as needed.
  • Assist with pet care duties, such as feeding and walking, if applicable.
  • Perform errands as requested by the family.
  • Ensure all household appliances are kept clean and in good working order.
  • Adhere strictly to household routines and family preferences.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a house maid or similar role in a private residence.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning products.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good communication skills (verbal) in English or Swahili.
