You will be the custodian of the hotel’s image, ensuring that every guest room, public area, and back-of-house space is flawlessly maintained and presented. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Lead, train, motivate, and develop a high-performing housekeeping team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Implement and enforce strict cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the hotel, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of all hotel areas to ensure impeccable presentation and adherence to luxury standards.
- Manage the housekeeping budget, control inventory of supplies and amenities, and place orders as needed to maintain stock levels.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning procedures and schedules to maximise productivity and quality.
- Coordinate effectively with the Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational flow.
- Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping promptly, courteously, and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, lost and found items, and departmental performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to hotel operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) as a Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Manager in a luxury or boutique hotel setting.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness, aesthetics, and operational precision.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, capable of prioritising tasks in a dynamic environment.
