Lakeside Hotel & Conference Centre is actively seeking dedicated and energetic Housekeeping Staff to join our vibrant team in Ha Ramokoatsi, Mafeteng. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from cleaning guest rooms and replenishing amenities to maintaining the tidiness of corridors, lobbies, and other communal spaces. This role requires physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Replenish guest room supplies and amenities (e.g., towels, toiletries, minibar items) according to hotel standards.
  • Clean and maintain public areas such as corridors, lobbies, restrooms, and staff areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
  • Handle and store cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting linen.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining quality standards.
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members, including front desk, maintenance, and food and beverage staff.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift, push, and pull.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting (6 months+).
  • Familiarity with various cleaning techniques and products.
  • Knowledge of basic hygiene and safety practices.
  • Ability to speak Sesotho and basic English.
