Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee and manage the daily operations of our housekeeping department for a premier establishment in Ebute, Ikorodu. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. You will lead, train, and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Your responsibilities will span across various critical areas, from scheduling and task assignment to conducting thorough inspections of rooms and public areas. You will be the frontline manager ensuring all procedures adhere to health and safety regulations, as well as the company’s internal standards. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, including assigning duties and conducting performance reviews.
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure impeccable cleanliness, order, and maintenance standards.
- Train new housekeeping team members and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing staff.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning procedures and schedules to maximize productivity and quality.
- Address guest requests, special needs, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Report maintenance issues and necessary repairs to the relevant departments in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, staff attendance, and supply usage.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and high morale within the housekeeping department.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
