Job Description
We are seeking a highly meticulous and dedicated HR Compliance Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in Gwanda. This critical role is instrumental in ensuring that all HR policies, procedures, and practices across Duration Gold Limited’s operations, particularly at Blanket Mine, are in strict adherence to Zimbabwean labour laws, industry regulations, and our internal corporate standards. The HR Compliance Coordinator will be at the forefront of identifying potential compliance risks, developing mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of legal and ethical conduct within the workplace. You will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, assisting with policy development, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to management and employees on compliance-related matters. This position requires an individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and fair employment practices within the demanding yet rewarding mining sector. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable Zimbabwean labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
 - Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
 - Conduct regular internal audits of HR processes, records, and systems to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
 - Provide guidance and support to HR staff, management, and employees on compliance-related queries and issues.
 - Prepare and submit necessary compliance reports to regulatory bodies as required.
 - Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
 - Assist in the investigation of employee grievances and complaints, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and legal requirements.
 - Develop and deliver training sessions on HR compliance topics, including anti-discrimination, harassment prevention, and ethical conduct.
 - Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations, updating company policies and practices accordingly.
 - Collaborate with legal counsel on complex compliance issues as needed.
 
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
 - Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR with a strong focus on compliance, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
 - In-depth knowledge of Zimbabwean labour laws (e.g., Labour Act, National Social Security Authority Act) and other relevant regulations.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal requirements clearly.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
 - Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., IPMZ, HRCI, SHRM).
 - Experience with compliance in a multinational or large-scale organization.
 - Demonstrated experience in conducting HR audits and developing compliance training materials.
