Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated HVAC Apprentice to join our installation team in Hunter’s Glen, Thornton. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with little to no prior experience who are passionate about learning a valuable trade from experienced professionals. You will gain comprehensive, hands-on training in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC systems, working directly alongside our certified technicians. As an HVAC Apprentice, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting with the installation of new HVAC units, ductwork, and related components in residential and commercial settings. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians with the installation of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductwork.
- Learn to identify, handle, and use various HVAC tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Help prepare job sites, including unloading materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work area.
- Support the testing and commissioning of newly installed systems under direct supervision.
- Observe and learn proper techniques for system assembly, wiring, piping, and venting.
- Maintain truck inventory and ensure tools and equipment are organized and in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Participate actively in ongoing training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients on job sites.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required for the job (e.g., bending, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic
- Punctual, reliable, and a team player
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a construction, maintenance, or general labor role
- Completion of a vocational program or technical training related to trades
- Basic understanding of electrical or plumbing principles
- EPA Universal Certification (can be obtained during apprenticeship)
