Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems using testing equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
- Inspect and test systems to verify functionality of components, including compressors, motors, and thermostats.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues, recommended solutions, and preventive measures.
- Document all work performed, including parts used, time spent, and system performance details.
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and tools as needed for various projects.
Required Skills
- Completed vocational training or certification as an HVAC Installer/Anlagenmechaniker SHK.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, including refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and ductwork.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex HVAC issues.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools, lift equipment, and work in various environments.
- Valid German driver's license (Class B).
- Fluent German language skills (B2 level or higher) for effective client communication and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with smart home climate control systems and energy-efficient solutions.
- Additional certifications in specialized HVAC areas (e.g., refrigeration, boiler maintenance).
