Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all HVAC/R equipment, including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation systems, refrigeration units, and associated controls.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC/R systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, sensors, and refrigerant lines.
- Monitor and adjust building management systems (BMS) to optimize HVAC performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions before they lead to system failures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair work, and system performance data.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and system breakdowns, providing effective and efficient solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies during all work activities.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and facility staff on integrated building system projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably in a commercial or institutional setting.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, components, and their operational principles.
- Proficiency in diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with various refrigerants and their safe handling practices.
