As a key member of our field operations, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various HVAC systems for both residential and commercial clients across the Wimmera region. Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled installation, maintenance, and repair services on a wide range of HVAC systems, including split systems, ducted systems, VRV/VRF systems, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and develop detailed service reports to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to facilitate accurate installations and repairs.
- Manage and maintain inventory of parts and tools required for service calls.
- Provide exceptional customer service, clearly explaining technical issues and solutions to clients.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, industry standards, and company policies.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules for emergency service as required.
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
Required Skills
- Trade qualification as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic or equivalent.
- Current ARCtick Licence (Refrigerant Handling Licence).
- Minimum of 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience in HVAC service and installation.
- Proven experience with diagnostic tools and equipment specific to HVAC systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and mechanical components.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) and smart HVAC technologies.
- Restricted Electrical Licence (Type 2).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working in diverse commercial and industrial environments.
- Forklift licence (LF class).
