Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot various types of HVAC and refrigeration systems (split systems, VRV/VRF, chillers, package units).
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment efficiently and accurately.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including cleaning, filter changes, and system checks.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and carry out effective repairs.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Australian industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Provide clear and professional communication with clients regarding service status, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Accurately complete service reports, timesheets, and all necessary documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including company vehicles and tools.
Required Skills
- Australian Trade Qualification (Certificate III or IV in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration)
- Valid Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARC Licence)
- Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing HVAC system faults
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Restricted Electrical Licence (REL)
